a question for someone who took ap psych

<p>just wondering, i noticed something interesting today and was wondering if one of you guys could explain this to me:</p>

<p>there were two people (a couple) telling a story about an art exhibgit they went to. it was a bad one with the same sculpture painted in different ways. now, one person jokingly stated that the best work was done by and 8th grader while the other one jokingly stated that the best work was done by someone who was eight. why did they remember the same number but not in the same context? ok, just something that caught my attention. thanks to all who respond.</p>

<p>maybe the guy was kind of trying to make fun of the other ones joke?..thats just how people are…
otherwise it could have something todo with priming or something…</p>
