A question from the Housing form

One of the question from the housing form says:

I was wondering if that has anything to do with characteristics of different residential colleges. Could the answer to that particular question be detrimental to which college we’ll end up in?

Trust me, there will be plenty of diversity in the 50 or so other frosh women in your res college – it’s not as if your res college assignment is determined by how much you can tolerate messiness or loudness. This info is used to match you within whatever res college you eventually are assigned to.

i think its just to match you with your fellow suitemates :)

Colleges are assigned at random (except for legacies, who can opt in/out of their parent/sibling’s college), and any “characteristics” ascribed to a particular college are coincidental or just apocryphal. Those questionnaires simply determine your suitemates.
