<p>should I have my guidance counselor call admissions? I know private school counselors do this often, but public high school counselors seldom do and may not realize they have that option. When I sent in app, gpa was only 2.96,ACT is 30, SAT 1290/1600 & 1830/2400. In HS started out weak, not taking things seriously in grades 9&10. Got it together in 11th gr & for that year gpa3.69, honor roll, but overall gpa only 2.96. I work after school, so don’t have ANY extracurriculars @ my high school. But I have passionately pursued hobby of historical, strategic wargaming (not on computer) for last 6 years, and store owner where we play offered me a job last year, giving me the key to open and close the store. He offered me the job, unsolicited by me, based on observing me thru the years & said my maturity, sense of responsibility, integrity etc. impressed him. So, I’ve had a lot of growth and am probably ended this marking period with a 3.6. Didn’t really make a point of all of this in my app. I’d like guidance counselor to relaythis info to admissions or should i write to admissions myself with new info?</p>
