I received a riddle in my student portal that said i had 24 hours to send my answer to applicantriddle@ucberkeley.edu in order to get accepted… is this a joke that means i’m in? or are they being serious?

curses in head oh shoot, i didn’t get a riddle on my portal…but if that’s Cal’s way of accepting people, then I applaud them for their originality. What is the riddle anyhow?

That’s really weird… I have nothing though, just “Your application has been received and is In Review
Decisions will be available the evening of March 29, 2012”

Pictures or it didn’t happen.

Creative ■■■■■ is creative?

I say santa and barbie are a clue…

■■■■■. The domain would have been BERKELEY.EDU… FAIL! HAHALOL

Agreed. I’m having trouble assigning an appropriate adjective to that handle. :P

is the email incorrect?? hopefully its just my friend playing a joke…

no such domain as ucberkeley.edu

Well, what are you waiting for?! Solve the riddle!

I want to see the riddle, even a copy and paste will be great. Hehehehe.

When I got into UCB 3 years ago, they asked me this riddle:

"As I was going to St Ives

I met a man with seven wives

Every wife had seven sacks

Every sack had seven cats

Every cat had seven kittens

Kittens, cats, sacks, wives

How many were going to St Ives?"

Some kids in my class weren’t able to answer it on time and were denied admission. Serious.

^stop trolling.
