A sentence

The last sentence of my essay is…

But most importantly, I learned that no one can have anything against a man who has a valid point, a rational opinion – and that if I am such a man, I must stand up and talk loud and proud.

I am not sure about the use of dash (English is my second language). Is it used correctly?

I intentionally use “proud” instead of “proudly” because it sounds good together with loud. Should I leave it like that?

Making good points is used before in th essay; that’s why I included both “a valid point” and “a rational opinion”.

“loud and proud” is a common phrase, so don’t worry about that.

I like using stylistic dashes, and I think yours is ok. If you wanted to be grammatically correct though, your sentence works without it.
