So yeah… this isn’t everything, but it’s probably over-spam anyway. And I know that chances don’t even mean anything. I’m just so bored and nervous… ahhhhh less than three weeks until the first result comes back!!!

Ok, stop it. Seriously. I am as white as sour cream but this has to stop.

Your GPA is okay, even though it is below Penn’s standards. Your standardized test scores show that you are a very capable student. The ED boost will certainly help. I personally wouldn’t be surprised if you are admitted in three weeks, but it can go either way.

Not being in the top 10% will hurt you at Penn considering only 4% of last year’s freshman are not in the top 10%, and that contingent of people is comprised of mostly hooked candidates (URMs, legacies, recruited athletes, etc. etc.). Even though it is unofficial, the school report your school sends will give a grade distribution of your class and will give adcom’s a general sense of where you are in your class. However, your scores are good, and your ECs are quite strong.

At Wharton I’d say it’s a crap-shoot, though you have a good chance.

Tepper is pretty selective, but your probably good there. If you don’t get into Tepper, you’re in at CMU in general.

UVA is low-reach/high-match

In everywhere else.

…
Really ._."
f***!

I’m pretty sure. I know my school does, and all of my friends schools do. Otherwise your GPA can be taken completely out of context.

For example, my friends goes to a school where they are not officially ranked, and very few people have a GPA above a 3.4 (its extremely challenging). If the high school didn’t send a report, students from that school would not get in to competitive schools (a 3.4…) , but with a school report, adcoms can see that the majority of the class falls around a 3.4 GPA.

hey.

Thanks for listing your username in the post, I didn’t know you were euroazn!!!

your chance of getting in is ~50%, give or take 50%

a) I copied the my stats page thing.
b) Trololololololololololololol.

If your essays are as unique as you say they are - I’d say you have a shot at Penn.

I know all the schools in my area give a “grade distribution”, also the secondary school report definitely requires counselors to estimate ranking, so even if your school doesn’t rank, they’ll know—particularly because #1’s GPA is also listed.

That being said, your ECs are phenomenal and you have a fair shot! Don’t stress, there’s really nothing you can do now.

@daretorun
Still stressing.

So guess when I went to bed last night guys! 3 AM. Only to wake up at 6.
Curses ENLGISH!!!
