<p>What good would sending a copy of a book report do? If your intent is to show you read that book it is no big deal to have done so, regardless of your native tongue. Rework the report into an essay if its material is pertinent to your college application. You want to show colleges you have a good command of contemporary American English, having parents edit it for you will not do this.</p>
<p>Parents often read kids’ essays just to give a basic reaction to the ideas.</p>
<p>If you send me the instructions along with your essay, I would be glad to comment upon whether it answers the question and carries out the assignment. </p>
<p>I can give you a “gut reaction” (from the heart) about whether the essay makes sense. I can’t copy-edit and correct every word to make it sound as if a native speaker wrote it. That wouldn’t be honest and you wouldn’t want to get in that way. </p>
<p>I’m sure you’ll have to take a TOEFL or some kind of English Foreign Language exam as part of your college entry process, and that is where colleges will determine if you have command of the English language.</p>
