I have started a non-profit organization with a friend of mine. The purpose is to raise money for Afghan and Indian orphans. This summer we are going to Iran, and the Afghan border to deliver whatever money we raise.

Would this be a strong EC to help me transfer to Georgetown? One that might put me over the edge if I am borderline?

Ohohoh…im thinking of doing something similar…but specifically for homeless people and disadvantaged people…besides, i wanted to public service after I finish school. i hope it helps.

would you consider that an “organization” or a “project”? I did something similar last summer (another part of the world) even though I am redoing it again this summer, but I wrote it down as a “project”… Is there really a difference?

Well the organization I created is probably different because It sounds like your project occured once, while this organization will be ongoing. Also, I will be spending a month in Iran this summer, along the Afghanistan border to help with orphanages and deliverinig donations.

Its kinda dangerous, but well worth it. An experience of a lifetime.
