<p>So, this semester I’m taking Computer Concepts and I went ahead and took the exam to waive the requirement. I passed (not a very decent pass, but a pass nonetheless). So according to the records office, I need to drop Computer Concepts, but since it’s past the deadline for dropping, then it will show up as a W on the transcript, however, along with a note that says “Student Waived requirement…”. So my question is, will this look bad when I apply later on down the line to med schools (I’m still currently in my first year)? They said I can petition to have the W removed, but I’m wondering if that’s worth the hassle.</p>
<p>If it bothers you personally, then petition to have it removed. As far as medical school is concerned, it should pose no problems.</p>
