A week at Harvard motivates heartland teachers

<p>That’s what Linda Viox was thinking during an intense week in Cambridge, Mass., last month. It was invigorating, thought-provoking and rigorous, she said.</p>

<p>The Conner Middle School principal was among 12 Northern Kentucky educators selected for a leadership training program at the Ivy League university.</p>

<p>Harvard received $5 million from the Wallace Foundation to train education leaders in Kentucky and Ohio. About 70 people participated, including the education commissioners and some of their staff.</p>

<p>The educators will return for the next two summers. In between, they’ll work with coaches from Harvard, who will visit in person to see how improvements are going…"</p>
