A whole slew of random questions

Hi  I’m taking AP USH and AP CS next year. I haven’t had much experience in studying for major tests. What books should I use and when should I start?

On another note, what sequence do you think i should take?
S1: year 2: Honors chem, AP economics Year 3: AP Chem Year 4: AP Bio and Physics C
S2: year 2: AP Chem, AP Bio year 3: AP Physics C year 4: AP Economics

I can’t decide :/

Princeton Review is good for AP US History. As for the schedule, it doesn’t seem like there’s much of a difference. I guess it depends on whether you want to take honors chem or not.

My school has offered AP chem for something like 10 years. In all that time, precisely 4 people have taken the class without first taking honors or basic chemistry. 2 of them got Cs, 1 dropped the class after a week because he couldn’t understand anything, and the last had already been taught basic chemistry by his dad.

Don’t skip high school chemistry unless you are completely sure you know it all.

Well, I think you could still take AP Chem without the basic chemistry course, even though some people who took that road did not do well on the AP exams. Nevertheless, take me for example, I went straight to learning college-level chemistry without learning the basic before I took AP Chemistry and I did alright and received a 5 for 2009. Besides, the basic can be taught in AP Chemistry but then in more depth.

yeah you definitely want to take high school chemistry to give you a slower pace to get acquainted with the basics - cuz AP chem moves fast, there are a lot of topics and you will want a solid basis

What about books for AP computer science?

Barrons is good for them, but are you self-studying CS? That is a bad idea - to get a good score you should take the class so that you will experience an immersion setting where you will get familiar with programming in Java.

I am not self studying it  Thanks for all the suggestions.
