AACSB - How important?

Does studying business at an undergraduate level in a school accredited by the AACSB matter? For example...if you don't...will this put you in a disadvantage when applying for grad schools?

Or is this ranking only important for graduates pursuing MBAs?

Bump......

Bump!!!!!!!!!

What is AACSB?

I'd say that anytime there is a certain accrediting body for a program it is always better to choose a program that is accredited.

Going through the list of AACSB accredited business schools, it appears that even very low selectivity public and non-profit schools can get accreditation, so it may not mean much if you are looking for a "better" business school. However, it can be used to screen out some of the bottom of the barrel business schools (e.g. some of the for-profit schools' business schools).

It is not necessary to major in business as an undergraduate to go to an MBA program later.
