AAP Question

I’m going to be an architecture major and I was wondering how the course enrollment process works. I haven’t received my orientation package, so I have absolutely no idea whether or not I should be enrolling in my courses yet (or, for this matter, which are my required courses!). I emailed the AAP registrar about a week ago, but they haven’t answered yet… Does anybody know how this works…? Thanks

I think you enroll in courses during Orientation week before school starts. You should have received your orientation packet though. The office said to shoot them an E-mail ify ou haven’t gotten it by the 15th.

D is in AAP (art) and got hers last Thursday or Friday… We live in CA…

I don’t live in the US, so that’s probably the reason why the packet isn’t here yet…

But can anybody please explain why there’s a course enrollment platform in Just the Facts? How does it work? Are students from other colleges (A&S, Engineering, etc) already enrolling? Any help will be very much appreciated. Thanks.

No, they aren’t enrolling yet. That is for the continuing students, i.e. sophomores, juniors, and seniors, to pre-enroll.

The most that happens for freshmen is their advisors pre-enroll them for some classes.

The bulk of registration happens during orientation.

for first year architects, you are ONLY RESPONSIBLE for enrolling in a freshman writing seminar, gym, electives, etc. the architecture department has already pre-enrolled you in your architecture courses (studio, history, drawing). feel lucky that first semester, you DONT HAVE TO WAKE UP AT 6 AM TO ENROLL!!! :D
