About AP exams...

okay so I got accepted, and am planning to go to, Berkeley; however, I just realized that I said on my app that I would take the Comp Sci AB exam, and due to general laziness, I eventually chose not to take it (though I am taking all three of my other AP tests, if it matters). Am I supposed to tell Berkeley about this in the same way that people who drop classes midway through the year are through writing?

Yes…

how interesting ~ in our district, if a student gets permission to take an AP class of which our district offers 8, then the student must take the exam and the student must pay for the exam in August at schedule pick up night. There is no choice period. It is not easy to get permission to take an AP class as the work load is intensive and requires 2 hours of studying an evening for each class along with completion of hours of summer homework before the class begins. There is a definite distinction made between the CP classes offered, the accelerated classes offered and the AP classes offered.

^^
Man it sounds like a pain to take APs at your school. At ours, a teacher might advise you not to take many APs, but thats about it.
