About College Major

Sometimes I want to continue my life in Medicine and sometimes in engineering. I am aware that I am multipotential. So when choosing the major is becoming a challenge for me as well as where to study. I always dream of studying abroad and make an impact on where I am. I want to help the school to develop more kids-friendly subjects, an environment where they can have fun and learn and also I want to lead and organize some events for future generations and launch new and innovative ideas in business. At the same time, I want to have a meaningful life where I find happiness and can travel as much as I can. To be honest I want to live a simple life and be financially free and also make a positive impact on people and see around the world every corner. Do any of u guys have this idea?

Are you a current HS student?

It sounds like you’re an international student looking to study in America?

As time goes on, you do have to choose your path in life, and that means you do not take other paths you could have taken. That is daunting when making big decisions, including what to study in college.

But one thing I have learned is there are usually ways of doing things you love, even if you do not do that for your career. Like, you could do education for your career, but there are also many other ways of teaching, of helping out young people in other ways, and so on.

Which leads me to a last observation, which is that time not spent working is rather precious. You need it to do other things you love. If you choose to have a family, you need a lot of it for them. You need it just to have times of reflection.

So while you may need a job that is sufficient to provide a comfortable life (including for your family if you have one), there is an enormous amount of value available in recognizing what is enough–enough money, enough car, enough house, enough of everything–such that you can work to have that enough and then still have a lot of time left for other things too.

And the sort of career that can follow a good college education can often be enough, if you make a point of that being your goal.
