Hi, I am a freshman and I want to take cpa test in 2014. I heard that it requires 154 hours credit to take cpa test. If I want to get a double major in accy and math. Am I fit for the requirement to take the test 4 years later?

You won’t take it immediately after undergrad. Remember, this is an exam that the majority fail at least once. My father failed it twice before receiving his credentials. It is not an easy test, most people study at minimum 12-18 months before sitting it. Stern allows you to complete a dual B.S./M.S. in Accounting that will prepare you heavily for the exam, but hardly anyone here takes it immediately after graduation.

But there is no restrict for you to take after undergrade correct? I heard in Illionis, they change the policy after 2013 that students in Illinois need to have a MS to take the exam

I simply don’t know that. Best to check the NY state requirements for the exam.
