About essay spacing

<p>I’m an international student. In all the essays I uploaded to my commonapp, i used single spacing, which makes the essay contents look so tightly pressed together. I don’t know if there are any norms about application essays’ spacing(even until now). So I’m afraid this can exhaust the AO’s eyes and harm their impression about me. </p>

<p>Will the tight spacing have any negative impacts?</p>

<p>You’ll be fine. I’ve never heard of someone being denied because of line spacing, especially since there aren’t any guidelines on commonapp. </p>

<p>IIRC, I double spaced my commonapp essay, but I also set the font size and margins smaller to make it all fit on one page. But I doubt it will affect their decision on your app.</p>
