I’m applying to a few fly-in programs and none of them require you to submit your standardized test scores, although there is the option to. Right now I’m in the process of studying for the ACTs, as my SAT and PSAT scores don’t sit well with me (1850 and 1340 respectively). The programs also prioritize underrepresented groups, first gen, and low-income students, which I am. They require a transcript, and my GPA is a 4.0, so that isn’t my greatest concern in contrast to my test scores. I don’t want my test scores to deter any possibility of being accepted to the programs, so would it be advisable to just completely skip the section for test scores? If anyone has experience with applying to fly-ins I’d appreciate it as well.
I don’t have any experience, but I would skip it. They don’t know whether you’ve taken them yet and you don’t want it to take away from the rest of the strength of your academic record.
