About how long after change to "Currently reviewing" did you get accepted?

About how long after the status page said:

"Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee. We will mail notification of their decision by April 1. If for some reason you don't receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results over the phone beginning April 11th. "

did you receive your admittance?

1/19, acceptance 1/31.

1/30, acceptance 2/29.

2/6, acceptance 3/3.

1/25, acceptance 1/27

2/11, acceptance 3/3

hmm... let me calculate the average of these.. about 20.2 days between change of status to "reviewing" and acceptance.. so I guess I'll have a while to wait before any decision, rejection or acceptance, comes at all.

nerve-wrecking.

keep posting dates btw.

2/6 - "Your application is being reviewed..."
3/1 - Acceptance package came
3/4 - "The committee has acted on..."

Hope this helps! :)

protege - don't pay too much attention to the "currently reviewing" online status. The online status is not updated as soon as decision is made. Got acceptance letter dated 2/29 by snail mail on 3/3 and the online status still says "currently reviewing" So the online update is not done right away.
BTW - as they say at the top of the status update, all decisions are sent by snail mail.

Hope this helps. Don't be nervous if you haven't heard any decision after reading all the CCers acceptance messages - they seem to do it in waves.

1/24- "Being Reviewed"
2/29- Admission Letter Dated
3/3- Admission Letter Received
3/4- "Acted Upon"

Wow. So basically you never know when the decisions will come. I'm so anxious waiting. It sucks. Can't wait to hear. I hope it's an acceptance. I want to go there so badly.

1/29 - "Being Reviewed" online status
2/29- Admission Letter Dated
3/3- Admission Letter Received
3/5- "Acted Upon" online status

This is what makes most sense to me:

I think it's safe to say that if you have the "currently reviewing" status a considerable amount of time before April 1st, you are accepted.

If you are stuck in "We have received the fall grades we requested", it will change to "currently reviewing" if they've decided to send out an acceptance package. Everyone who had that status for almost a month was the first wave. The next people to get that message are the second wave, etc. If it doesn't change before April 1st, you're probably denied.

If your status is still stuck in "preliminary review" and has been for some time, I can only think that must mean they decided you didn't fill requirements a while ago. On the other hand, it might mean they decided to accept you outright, but in that case you should have been in the first wave.

Or maybe I'm looking tot much into the status system.

d was stuck in preliminary review since 12-19. she changed today to:
Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee. We will mail notification of their decision by April 1. If for some reason you don't receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results over the phone beginning April 11

so all is not lost yet for us long term preliminry reviewers

That's great! Then, I guess all anyone can look forward to is there status changing to "reviewed by the admission committee."

In this case, it's hard to see if there is any status that tells you that you are denied.

1/29 and accepted 3/3. I'd give the "currently reviewing" status a good two weeks before there's some kind of change.

Mine changed to "being reviewed" on 2/28.

^^ mine too

2/29 accepted - mailed and received on 3/2
