My best advice is to go to the career services office of your closest university. They usually have a library that includes information about the different majors offered at the institution. Your public library also has a lot of information about college majors.

Biochem, immunology, microbiology are all specialities within biology. Premed is generally an advising track and not a major, but it’s basically to get students the pre-reqs they need to apply to med school.

Media studies, English, and Comm/Rhet are similar in my mind - all are about communication, the differences being the emphasis of the purpose and media of the communication.

Computer Science is a branch of mathematics concerned with the computability of problems - programming, complexity, algorithms, data structures, etc.

Nutrition and Food science I know nothing about.
