Hello, everyone.
I am a international students and apply for the 2011Fall of MS of mechanical engineering,I just got the admission letter which notify me that i have been admitted into the project option program of mechanical engineering.
So does the program deserve the expensive tuition when comparing to another admission i got from upenn? What’s you suggestions if i purse a PHD program after the Master degree?
Also can anyone introduce a current student in this program for me to contact with?I really need to grab some more informations, thaks a lot.

Contact the MechE department directly and tell them you would like to connect with some current students to ask questions. You can find the Director of Graduate Students listed in the MechE webpages of CMU.

You will have to reapply for the PhD program it is not a guarantee to move from the MS to the next level in any school.

All MS programs are pricey- -there’s little support for US students as well. You can read the CC Graduate Student thread to get the basics about financial support for graduate students-- students typically fund their MS in contrast to support for Doctoral level students.

Congrats on your acceptance.
