Would colleges ever contact media and say, “Oh our God! We admitted a student who doesn’t know how to speak English but got 2400 on the SAT, maintained 4.0 GPA and is a internationally accreditted athlete” without getting the student’s permission?

(Yes, I exaggerated a lot to create an extreme case, but would it happend?)

Thats is pretty much impossible. You can’t even get a decent score on your SAt without knowing English, nevermind 2400 (how would you know what they’re asking?). The college also wouldn’t know about your score or gpa if you never sent the info.
Now, they might ask you to apply if you’re an (English speaking) Olympic medalist/Oscar winner or whatever and you would have a good chance of getting admitted.
