Do you think rank plays a big role in Tulane Scholarship? I have descent test scores, but like top 25% rank. Our school is Really competitive, full of asian and indian students.

Sorry to be snobish but that is a harsh generalization. But I really dont think so, I go to one of the most competitive schools in Illinois and I am about at the 20% and I got 24k, then again I showed a TON of interest, hint hint, and I got a decent score on my act, 32. So get a good score on your test and show a lot of interest…

oh. I am asian myself and our school is more than a competitive school. A GPA unweighted of 3.8 can put down to all the way down to 20%. I know many friends with 34, 35, and 36 ACT with bunch of 2200s to 2300. One of the student received 2390 in the SAT. I know it can be weird to describe high school as cut throat, but i think our school is really like that way.

I definitely feel peer pressure.

I just wanted to ask how much rank matters to Tulane. I have been accepted to Tulane but didn’t receive the package yet. If the scholarship is too low, i might go to in state UGA or Georgia Tech, where the tuition is like 10k per year.

Well my class rank wasn’t really spectacular, but still top 10%. I got the 24k presidential scholarship, so take that for what it’s worth.
