<p>With writing or art samples they get set to the respective departments for evaluation, right? What if your evaluation isn’t the greatest? Is it possible for supplementary materials to hurt you as an applicant?</p>
<p>Just a guess, but that sort of stuff is probably used to tip the balance on someone who is a borderline admit. If you’re a strong admit, you art won’t disqualify you. An LAC is not a fine arts school, so it probably won’t make or break you.</p>
