What’s the difference between winter and fall early decision?

Does winter early decision mean student will enroll at winter quarter?

I know this question may sound a little bit silly, but I really have no idea about this.

Thank you very much.

As far as contracts go, EDI (fall) and EDII (winter) are virtually the same. If you apply EDII, you must sign the early decision contract promising that you will attend if admitted.

Both are for incoming freshmen who will enroll at the beginning of the next fall trimester.

Are there any statistics on the number of applicants who are admitted under ED2 versus ED1?

Thank you very much! =)

"Are there any statistics on the number of applicants who are admitted under ED2 versus ED1? "

Far fewer kids apply to ED2 than ED1 so the number admitted is much smaller. There’s no statistical difference between those who are admitted in either pool. If Carleton is absolutely your daughter or son’s first choice then she or he should apply ED. If she or he is not certain, then apply RD.
