absences question

Hello guys,

I am an international student (Greece) and I am writing this post regarding the attitude of universities on absences. Here in Greece we have a total limit of 120 absences (by the law) 60 of them that can be justified (by parents) and 60 of them unjustified. If you are under the 120 limit you graduate normally without any problems if you need to do more than the 120 you need to be in a serious medical condition etc.

But let me explain something here, If you fill ill and you have to leave school the 3 last hours you get 3 unjustified absences even though they know you are ill, that's how the system works here.

So if I am under the 120 limit will I have problems with the universities (I have heard that if you have a lot of absences they can take back their acceptance offer, at the time I have around 5 unjustified and 16 justified)?

P.S. if you get out of class because you are causing a problem to the teacher it counts also as an unjustified absence.
