<p>How much of an impact does academic decathlon play on admissions chances to Uchicago. I love academic decathlon and it seems like the quirkiness Uchicago likes, which is good, especially considering the selectivity it has now. I want to apply EA and Uchicago will probably be my first choice.</p>
<p>There’s no real answer for “how much impact” anything plays for admission chances, because they do a “holistic” overview of your application. It’s annoying to hear, and frustratingly hard to comprehend, but that’s the only answer you’re likely to get- because it’s the only one available.</p>
<p>But I think if you’re passionate about it, then it’ll be great for your chances because they like seeing passion in anything you’re involved in :)</p>
