My son is considering Hofstra for Mechanical Engineering. He had a IEP and tutoring support in High School which really helped him succeed. He doesn’t need the IEP anymore, but will need academic assistance and tutoring support.
Any experience or advice on tutoring/learning support/advising for Hofstra?

You have asked this question of many different schools. I recommend you visit and ask the question.
Keep in mind that Hofstra has a large population of commuters.
Also my biased personal observation is that DSS Students don’t like people to know they are DSS… So getting someone to share their experience may be difficult.
But the best person(s) to speak with will be whoever is in charge of the campus DSS Office.
Hofstra appears to have good tutoring for intro courses,
Some colleges do not offer programs like this.
