Academic integrity violation

<p>Recently, a professor emailed me saying that I broke an academic code of conduct. I know I didn’t cheat, but I got help from a friend who wasn’t at my university. I didn’t credit him, but I have a feeling that his help wasn’t completely his work.</p>

<p>I know this isn’t much of an excuse, and I am willing to explain it.</p>

<p>Can someone explain to me what the consequences are. Am I going to get kicked out?</p>
