so i was put on academic probation fall 2013 and im just now about to go back a year later. I had actually failed and was suspended.I wasnt focus in school last year had a lot going on with family and work but now im in a better state than i was before but i was wondering is there any hope that I could still transfer to KSU if i were to pull my grades up high ?

I had the same situation in 2011. I started at a community college after scraping by high school. My first semester I failed out of and I ended up taking a semester off. When I came back the following fall after six months off, I ended up doing a lot better. I wasn’t ready and shouldn’t have started right after high school. Yes, it is now a dent in my university applications, as it will be in yours. But it gives me something to write about in my essays.

I know nothing about KSU, but I do know that you will really need to work hard to prove you take school seriously. You will need to work harder than the average student to make up for that. Study for the SATs and read up on tips if you are going to try and take them to improve your application. Also take advantage of community college; join as many clubs and get involved as much as possible. It will seriously strengthen your application if you show that you have grown and learned from your mistake in EVERY aspect, not just academically. Good luck :)
