I am a transfer student from Kean University, which is a 4 year university, and i have transferred to Rutgers University, which is the state university of New Jersey, and tends to be a little more challenging than kean, I transferred, because the major i chose to study, kean didn’t provide it, so i had to transfer. In Kean, i was doing very good, i was earning A’s, and B’s, my GPA was a 3.2, and things were top notch…However, things went down the hill when i transferred to Rutgers, i failed a class twice, i got a D on a intro class, and it really looks like i will be placed into a academic warning due to my poor performance this semester…the thing is i really didn’t know what i was doing, and really didn’t know how to study, but now i have learned from my mistakes, and found my way of studying for this school, and now I’m ready to improve my self as i will be taking summer classes in Rutgers.
now my main question is…is a situation like this normal for first year transfer student who transfer to a more challenging school? or am i really the only one? i want honest answers even if they’re against me please
Thank You
