Academy Awards

I didn’t see the Muppet movie, but I love Flight of the Conchords so glad to see the win.

Angelina Jolie looks so anorexic

So far, cirque was the most entertaining part of the show.

The attempts at humor are falling pretty flat with me.

Angelina looks a little off…in a good way. :)

church—I can’t hear high pitched tones so I guess that is why I haven’t noticed it.

I love that Christopher Plumber won, I hate that he looks old. He will forever be “The Captain” to me. It makes ME feel old.

We LOVED the Muppet Movie. And the sound track is great. My (adorable, of course) almost-3-year old grandson and his daddy (my oldest son) love to sing that song together. The grandson does the echo part. It’s hilarious :)

Yes, Angelina is too thin. It looks like her bones are going to gnaw through the skin on her face.

The brother of my law school roommate won the editing award - 2nd year in a row. I met him years ago when he was just a kid. He’s quite the success story.

I think the set this year is quite extraordinary. I love the Academy Awards marquis.

Who thinks Streep knew Crystal was going to call her a whore?

Is it my imagination or does Rose Byrne look like she could be blown away if someone sneezes?

I give kudos to Rose Byrne for pulling off bangs though. Generally, I think bangs on grown women are atrocious, but she is a rarity.

Who sang It’s a Wonderful World?

Esperanza Spalding, who won the best new artist prize at last year’s Grammys, sang 'What a Wonderful World during the Memoriam segment

I wish Glenn Close would win - but she won’t.

Thanks…love her voice.

DH & I were watching when J.Lo was presenting and we spent the entire time she was on stage saying “is that?” Glad to have confirmation here.

And D2, who is a size 00, found Angelina Jolie’s arms quite alarming. I wanted to make her something to eat.

Meryl Streep - CLASS ACT

Loved The Artist, enchanting

The Jimmy Kimmel post Oscar show is always great.

What a dull show–was able to complete the Sunday crossword at the same time without missing a thing. My strongest reactions were to Sandra Bullock, who’s been so botoxed and filled that she looks like she escaped from Madame Tussauds, and Angelina Jolie, who I’m beginning to believe must have some kind of eating disorder, given her stick-like arms and gaunt face. I did enjoy the French accents from the “The Artist” contingent, though. And Meryl Streep is so adorable and down to earth, I always wish she’d move in next door so we could share morning coffee.

parent1986 said: “Who thinks Streep knew Crystal was going to call her a whore?”…I rewound the DVR and he said HOARDER not whore. I thought he said ‘whore’ as well.

Thought the show, overall, was a snooze fest. Delighted The Artist won Best Picture. I loved The Artist.

Tomorrow night I’ll watch the red carpet.
