<p>(Transitional Thesis) Hayao Miyazaki, an animation director, did rejoice over his best animation award. (Accelerated plug-in’s)In 2001, Hayao Miyazaki’s Spirited Away was nominated for best animation at the 75th Oscars in sunny L.A… The film grossed over 100,000,000 at the box office world wide. Furthermore, at the award ceremony, Spirited Away won best animation over treasure planet and ice age. However, Hayao didn’t accept the award and wasn’t even at the award ceremony. Back in Japan, press questions reluctance to attending the award ceremony and being happy about his Oscar win. He responded, “Because of all the terrible events taking place in the world, I wasn’t able to attend but I want to give my heart felt thanks to all the supporters of Spirited away.” (Personal input) Thus, Hayao Miyazaki passed attending the oscars and rejoicing over his award as he doesn’t value wining. There are more momentous things in the world to worry and think about.</p>
