Acceptable English Courses

<p>Many medical schools either require or recommend english (composition, expository writing, etc…) courses. What are acceptable english courses?</p>

<p>For example, would film studies or theater (these courses are considered as reading and composition courses at my school) be acceptable?</p>

<p>I’m thinking a Big NO on the film/theater classes. </p>

<p>I’m thinking English 101 and 102 (which are heavy on writing skills). the film/theater classes may have a lot of reading/writing, but they won’t be stressing mechanics like the intro classes will. But, hey, I could be wrong.</p>
