I was admitted to Ox-Emory for this upcoming fall, and paid my deposit 1.5 months ago. When I went to Opus today I saw the Acceptance agreement (which I have not yet signed because I am waiting on a waitlist from another school) and it said the deadline for it was May 1? Does that mean the deadline for the deposit was May 1, or the acceptance agreement?
Am I late on sending in the acceptance agreement?
You should call admissions immediately to discuss your status.
You should have signed the agreement when you sent in the deposit. Even with a signed acceptance agreement, you retain the right to withdraw from the school if you got into a preferred college off of a waitlist. Call admissions ASAP.
thecthaeh…I agree with anomander and happy1.You may want to make sure your check cleared before calling admissions. It would show an acceptance on the college’s part by cashing your check. In any case, I would suggest signing the agreement now and submitting. This way you can tell admissions it was an oversight, you signed the agreement, and had sent the check 6 weeks ago. As happy1 points out, you can always withdraw if you are later admitted to another preferred college.
