Acceptance chance into Berkeley (so far)?

Please take your time to read this :

I am a resident of California, I am the first in my family to go to college, I am Mexican American, and my parents are divorced.

I am currently enrolled in San Diego Highschool Intl’ and is ranked 44 in the top 100, but is still part of a bigger educational complex in which all the other schools are considered to be low performing, high schools in the nation. I am part of the free reduced lunch program, due to my economic status.
About me:
From LA, lived around the ghetto, gangs were a major problem. I was in honors classes but slowly began to lose interest in school, and ultimately became a bad student. I moved to San Diego all of a sudden school mattered to me and have been doing well since then.

My total 9-12 WGPA is 3.78
10-12 WGPA w/o PE is 3.70
10-12 unweighted GPA is 3.55
I have not taken my SAT.

My classes are as follows (IB and AP):

10th Grade Semester 1

Advance English B
GEO IS- A
ART - B
Adv. W. Hist. C
INT Alg B
Chem. A
Adv. Spanish 5 A
PE A

(slow start but they get better)

10th Grade Semester 2

Advance English B

I will test in AP US. History, IB Spanish HL, IB Math Studies, IB English HL

I played varsity football this year, we made play-offs, and plan to play again next year.

Clubs/Activites/Awards

Football
Honors Society
Toms Club
Did research with UCSD, distributed surveys, that we created, to our school
D.C. Trip (debates with peers about politics)
China Trip this summer (educational, mostly to learn Chinese)
Part time job
Award from Local Newspaper for good Academics while playing football
Third year Honors Award

Assuming I pass all my tests, join 1 or two more clubs, begin community service hours, and change at least two of the last three B’s into A’s, what do you think my chances are at getting into UC Berkeley. Also, will a 1900 SAT enough for these stats?

I apologize if this is informal, this is my first time posting.
ANY feedback will be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

I think you have a chance. Just make sure your grades from now on are a’s. Aim for a higher sat score. But being a urm gives you a great boost.

You can probably estimate your chances based on grades and test scores using the information here:

[University of California - Freshman admission profiles](http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/freshman/profiles/index.html)
[University of California: StatFinder](http://statfinder.ucop.edu/)

Of course, grades and test scores aren’t everything; ECs, essay, life story, etc. that admissions committees find interesting would help.

Thank you, that is good to know. I will try very hard to get only A’s from now on.

Thanks for the links. I’m going to take add to my ECs list. Hopefully it does not look bad as it is going to be for less than a year, not like those people who have been playing the violin for 7 years and such.
