ACT (single test):
35 Composite
35 English

31 English/Writing</p>

<p>SAT (superscore):
2140 Composite
770 Math
710 Writing
660 Reading</p>

<p>SAT II’s:
Math 2: 750
Physics: 740</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
Varsity Basketball for 4 years and now team captain
Student Government (President for two years, VP for one)
Choir (4 years)
Drama (4 years)
Guitar (3 years)</p>

<p>APs:
N/A: my school does not offer any (I had to mark this on my apps)</p>

<p>Recs:
Teachers said they were excellent.</p>

<p>Essay:
Apparently excellent.</p>

<p>Awards:
National Merit Semi-Finalist
Various In-school Awards
National Greek and Latin Exam Awards</p>

<p>So my three reach schools are MIT, Johns Hopkins, and Harvey Mudd. I know acceptance to these schools is highly unlikely, and I would love to go any one of them, but I’m also trying to be realistic with this. Thank you for any input, positive or negative!:slight_smile: BTW, I’m going to be studying Biomedical Engineering.</p>

<p>Your chances are not bad tbh. Your ACT score is impressive but you are lacking a hook and that can really hurt your application. Also, your subject test scores are very low for the likes of MIT so I wouldn’t put my money on it :frowning: </p>

JHU- low/mid reach
MIT - high reach </p>

<p>Your subject tests actually aren’t that low at all for MIT. Sure they’re not 800s, but they’re still good.</p>

<p>Subjects are fine, I got into MIT with a 760 math II, everyone kept telling me to retake it. Class president looks really good, it means your peers trust you. Nice ACT, I wouldn’t send the SAT. If you write interesting essays I think you’ve got a really nice shot at all of them!</p>

<p>It’s probably too late for this advice, but only send the ACT if you can. Your M+CR 1430 is like a 32 comp. on the ACT.</p>
