<p>Upon receiving their offer, there are a couple things I want to consider. Is the acceptance rate of CL&S generally comparable to the average acceptance rate across different schools? Is there any conceivable way I can switch out of CL&S for Haas?</p>
<p>You need to spend two years in L&S then apply to Haas with everyone else.</p>
<p>l&s has an admit rate of around cal’s average. so it’s slightly higher than engineering but slightly lower than all the other colleges. (and a lot lower than college of chem, whose acceptance rate is 40%.)</p>
<p>good luck applying to haas. don’t let the tales of competition get you down; it’s not nearly as bad as people make it sound.</p>
