How come some got a letter from US mail announcing the acceptance status, and the rest who applied didn’t get
anything? - Not a note of rejection, nor status update. Does anyone know about this?

@Tu the people who got notified most likely got what you would call “likely/diversity letters,” which work as a sort of early “unofficial” acceptance.
