I’d like to know what my chances of getting into a northwestern school with a decent to excellent computer science program. I’m in Washington state, so the main schools I’m looking at are WSU and UW.

I am a Sophomore at an experimental STEM school called Delta, in Richland, WA. The grading standards are very high and the coursework is fast paced (we earn .5 credits every trimester instead of every semester).

My grades are not phenomenal; I currently have a 2.85 GPA. However, I am well ahead on my credits due to the previously mentioned faster credit acquisition, and will probably take additional classes in my Senior year to boost my GPA.

My test scores on the other hand are quite good. While I have yet to take the SAT or ACT, my PSAT Math and Reading scores were 65 and 63, respectively, both in the 96th percentile. My Writing score was a touch lower at 55 (90th percentile).

I generally do very well in my Math, Science, and Technology classes, and get by with c+'s and b-'s in social studies and english.

What do you think my chances are at UW or WSU, or any other northwestern schools with solid CompSci programs?
