My fingers are crossed ! I’m from MA on school vacation and haven’t been home all week. I just saw this email in my in box - This has to be good news right??? Did any other Engineering Applicants get this after being accepted and getting your envelope in the mail??

"As you make your decision about where you will attend college, I hope that you consider becoming a member of the Clemson family and making the Residents in Science and Engineering (RiSE) Living-Learning Community part of your Clemson experience.

RiSE is a unique residential community designed for freshmen in the College of Engineering and Science. The aim of this program is to ease students transition to college by supporting academic success, facilitating professional development, and encouraging student engagement.

Some of the unique features of this community include the involvement of a Faculty Director and the support of the College of Engineering and Science Academic Advising Center also housed in Lever Hall. RiSE incorporates a number of features seen in other living-learning communities as well including: academic support through tutoring services, clustered courses, and increased opportunities for social interaction."

Still nothing for me in Tampa. My friend got his letter on tuesday and he lives about a mile away from me. How is that possible? 3 days for one mile. I’m not sure what to do.

Away on vacation but just got an email welcoming me to the engineering program. Hopefully not some cruel trick. Won’t get mail til Saturday night. Oh yeah, from MA.

@ JMD1964 - I’m from Newton, MA - what about you?
Got into Engineering too! Very excited. I haven’t visited yet though, still waiting on a couple more RD to come in but this really made my vacation. I’m away as well and wont’ get the mail till Saturday or Sunday.

DD was wait-listed for nursing program. Anyone know of chances at May acceptance? Seond question…we are in PA and Clemson is still her #1 (almost only desire - though accepted to several other strong nursing BSN programs), can wait-listed students use their XID number to secure housing in case they get the May acceptance? Just don’t want to miss out on anything if it does happen. Thank you for any help!

I would say that it is unlikely that she would get accepted into Clemson for nursing if she got wait-listed now, Clemson tries to get a class of about 40 nursing majors each year (which isn’t a lot). You could go to Clemson as another major and try and transfer into nursing but that’s not guaranteed ([Changing Your Major : Clemson University](<a href=“College of Behavioral, Social and Health Sciences”>College of Behavioral, Social and Health Sciences)). You might as well go somewhere where you know you can be a nursing major 100%

I don’t think you can apply for housing unless you’ve been accepted to Clemson.

No mail in Kentucky on Thursday, nothing on portal (except link to enrollment application that is not live–not sure if that has always been there), but received engineering housing email.

Finally got the letter…accepted to the school of business! So happy to be a tiger, I was getting nervous with all the deferral letters I was receiving.
