Also I had a 1910 SAT

DD got accepted, 2050 SAT, 3.7 weighted GPA, from a competitive school that doesn’t rank. Good ECs including Girl Scout Gold Award. No money. She also got accepted to University of Florida, also with no money but we’re instate, participated in the state’s prepaid tuition plan, and Florida gives an instate scholarship to students with high enough grades and SAT, so the decision is basically $25,000 per year tuition vs. practically free for UF. Unfortunately, that’s a no-brainer, particularly since UF is ranked higher than Clemson in her major, agriculture.

That said, we’re a little sad because UF is an enormous school and Clemson is quite a bit smaller. If they’d given her any money at all, we would have tried to make it work, but as it is, I don’t see how we can, since she’d lose the instate scholarship. Sigh!
