I just checked my CSUF portal today and my admission status says that I am accepted but, I haven’t received an email from them. Is this normal?
Sometimes there is a lag time between the portal update vs receiving the email.

Does that mean I will receive the email later?
You should get an email eventually but it is not a big deal as long as the portal shows the acceptance.
The admits from yesterday have not received an email.

Do Cal States still send actual USPS mail too? Or only email? Just curious if an official thing will show up in the mailbox like I see from some other schools.
FYI, my son was also admitted yesterday (2/9) and he received the email tonight, around 8:00 PM I think.

It may vary by campus but normally no physical acceptance letter.
update: recieved the email last night!

Yeah, got email on 2/10, and it sits in the Junk folder. 
They send the text email with a PDF attachment, but it’s exactly the same letter. I guess the PDF is supposed to be the replacement for the traditional paper admission letter so you can print out and frame.
