<p>Has anybody ever heard of anyone being accepted to UCSD as a transfer, but then a few weeks later finding out that they were not accepted into their desired major, but were invited to pursue a different major?</p>
<p>This happened to a friend at UCSC. She received her acceptance, but then about two weeks later, she got an email saying that the grades she had got in classes in her major (comp sci) that she had taken at a community college last year were too low, so she was not accepted to the comp sci program. However, UCSC invited her to matriculate as a liberal arts major.</p>
<p>She just found out that she was accepted to UCSD today, her top choice, but is worried that the same thing will happen.</p>
