Accepted during a walk in audition

For anyone here who might’ve got accepted to a musical theater program during a walk in audition, did you ever really get a former acceptance letter following the audition?

In the room he told me he was going to accept me into his program and told me to apply to the university right after my audition. I’m waiting on academic acceptance but what’s been your experiences in terms of all this?

Always get the acceptance in writing. At the least, there should be a follow-up email.

Do you have his contact information (or can you find it on the program’s website)? In my opinion, you should write a very nice email, letting him know what a wonderful audition you had, that you enjoyed learning about their program, any personal anecdotes that might help him remember you. And then let him know, that you took his advice and applied to the university right after your audition (if that is indeed true) and that you look forward to hearing more from the program and university. Just my two cents.
