when i read that this morning, i seriously could not believe that i was actually accepted. i was in shock. what a nice letter. lol

NU offered to pay my air fare down for a pre-frosh weekend. Anybody else (accepteds) receive similar offers?

So did my daughter. Maybe the letter in this thread was from someone who has already visited or lives in the Chicago area.

I didn’t get that far onto the site since I was in English class…but imagine the horror of getting that acceptance measure when I was all tripped out on cough medicine, telling my family, and then coming home and thinking…did I imagine that? when I saw they’d taken down the decisions

phoenixguitar…that piece of information was in ur package not online right?!

No, this was the acceptance message for those who were accepted this morning online. I’m not certain if it is the same letter you’ll receive in the mail.

Relwarc…I meant paying for the air fair thing…coz when i checked my decision online I coudnt find my finaid award just about 100 pages of FA instructions!

The letter in the mail says “Dear…: Congratulations! The Admission Committee is delighted to inform you that you have been admitted into …”

The only problem in our house at the moment is that the letter my son received is someone else’s. We’re waiting to hear back from admissions.

Just heard back – my son’s in! Yay! They’re fedexing another package since we received the wrong one. Good luck to everyone – may you end up at the school that’s best for you, wherever that is.

By the way, when admissions called back, they did confirm again that all decisions will be up tonight, and acceptances will contain links to all financial info, etc.

Did they confirm that the decisions we saw in the morning are TRUE and NOT glitches…I’m so nervous!!

Nah, I got it online in the morning. However, I feel for the people saying that all they saw was pages of financial aid instructions. There was no estimate in the online “package.” There was just a bunch of instructions, so I don’t know what to make of that. Maybe they’ll send more in the evening, or maybe I just didn’t get something in fast enough.

I didn’t find my estimate either…just blah blah blah’s. And I didnt find a page where it says they will pay the air fare for me.

The scholarship/financial aid info will all be available tonight, according to the Director of Admisisons – he said all the information that comes in the packet will be available online.

They didn’t say anything about whether the decisions that were up this morning were accurate, but I’d bet they were – they just didn’t put them all on or leave them up for long.

Are all of you in the Chicago/Illinois/Michigan Area??? because I live in Texas and I haven’t gotten any news yet!! is this a bad sign!!! ahhhh i’m so worried.

since you live so far away you shouldn’t expect until tomorrow or the day after and it is not a bad sign

Well, the online decision should be expected any secend now, if I’m not incorrect? I was already accepted online in the morning but want to make sure its not a glitch. And before that, my parents won’t believe me either. :(

raghavp, if you were accepted this morning, you were REALLY accepted. Anyone who’s seen his or her decision this morning has seen the REAL decision.

Michigan hasn’t heard yet either. Won’t be until around 7 in Michigan time that they supposedly release the admits to everyone.

oh really? thx! that sort of lifts this stupid little fear inside me that says I didn’t get in.
