Accepted ... now what?

I’ve been accepted to three of the colleges I applied to so far. University of Wisconsin - Madison, Syracuse University, and University of Delaware.

There are two things that will help me decide whether or not to enroll in one of these colleges. 1) whether they will accept my dual credits from a 2 year college in Ohio. 2) The amount of money they will give me.

I applied as a freshman with an AA (60+ semester hours) worth of dual credit courses taken during high school. Where am I supposed to send my transcripts for a credit evaluation? I am getting no reasonable answers online/from websites. I sent copies of my transcript from college for my admission, should I just send another copy to the admissions office and hope they know what I want them to do with it?

And I know I have to pick my school by May 1st, are colleges “allowed” to withold financial aid decisions until after May 1st for freshman?

Maybe these questions are stupid, but I’ve been looking at websites for hours trying to figure out the answers. Is my frustration blinding me to an obvious answer?

Very simple. Call your schools.

And I know I have to pick my school by May 1st, are colleges “allowed” to withold financial aid decisions until after May 1st for freshman?

In response to that question, I know that my son’s high school guidance office (which is really really good), said that the schools HAVE to give you the financial info before you give them an answer on May 1. Now of course, that assumes that you have given them all the info that they need to make this decision.

Most financial aid offers come out in April to meet the 1 May suspense. Some come out before that, depending on the school.

Transcripts with college credit are usually sent to the registrar’s office. It is usually that office that determines what credit will transfer.
