So I’ve been accepted to College. Now what?
Lay out the steps from financial aid to moving in.

You should get YOUR PANTS ON THE GROUND, PANTS ON THE GROUND, LOOKIN’ LIKE A FOOL WIT YO PANTS ON THE GROUND

Pants are usually a good first step, can’t argue with that.

ahaha LOL! @DCHurricane I just had to reply because I saw that.

But back to your question. The school should send information in the mail. The school you were accepted to should have the information you need, different schools have different requirements. In general though I would hit the accept button on your school portal (where you check you application status). Accept any school scholarships and check on financial aid (I hope you filled out your fasfa). Apply for housing, meal plans, make deposits ect… It really depends on the school.

It again depends on how far away you live from your school, you might want to rent a van or a small UHAUL to take your items to college. If the school if far you can ship your items there. Which ever method you choose you can always buy trivial items (soap deodorant ect) from a walmart or target near campus. Your school might have a freshman orientation where they help you move in.

I looked into large corporations for grants and I was successful. Look into companies that you have a connection with or within walking distance. Look online for national grants and bursaries as well. Good Luck!

ONE SHOT Abby! ONE SHOT!

I now understand why some students have hovering parents…

well my parents are really no help at all. I got my scholarships, applied to college, filled out most of my FAFSA( taxes aren’t back yet).I am also moving 600 miles from home myself
(driving). The school hasn’t sent me anything, although the admissions office called me and to me I was accepted. It’s a small LAC.

It’s still early in the year…stuff will come from your school. The steps that you take really depends on your school, so you really just have to wait to get information specific to your school. If you really want to know about stuff like what goes on for financial aid and whatnot, you can always call the school.
