Accepted or Denied: Its your call

Hey everyone, I just wanted to know what my chances are and if you think I will be accepted or rejected this school. This would be almost the exact application the schools would get from me next year, as I am a junior right now in high school.

Do you think I have a chance to be accepted to this school, if you believe I can get accepted and that there is a high possibility, what do you I will get in regards to financial aid/scholarships (Parents combine to make less then 80,000 dollars a year)

What school are you applying to within CMU?

the business school if there is one

So you would be looking at Tepper which is very competitive. Your SAT scores are probably in the top 25% of admits which is really good. Your GPA should be fine because of the upward trend and I think they only use the last 3 years of high school to calculate GPA so your cumulative GPA is probably better then you say it is.

If your taking the most difficult courses offered in your high school or close to the most difficult course load then I would say you’re chances of being accepted are very high.

They might be a little confused because your honors classes are in english and history, but CMU is a more math/science school. Have you taken any advanced classes in math? That would probably help.

From a fellow, future CMU swimmer, be sure to speak with the swim coach if you’ve got some good times!

The UAA conference website, here:
[UAA Men’s Swimming & Diving Update](http://www.uaa.rochester.edu/Weekly_Sport_Updates/MSWIM_Update.html) should give you an idea of some goal times/if you’d fit in the team.

Being recruited always helps… if anything it shows that you’re committed to what you do and diverse enough to not just do academics.

u deff got a chance, but make sure ur in touch with the coach too…im a future cmu swimmer also and ive been in contact w/ the women’s head coach
