As for your questions, I’ve read that three really strong programs at Rutgers are Criminal Justice, Philosophy, and Pharmacy. Of course any Engineering program is strong as well and Rutgers seems to be no different. Secondly I think that the hardest school to get into is School of Arts and Sciences at New Brunswick (of the three you listed) and that its the best place for a traditional college experience. Although I heard for commuters or part timers that Newarks great for Business as there is a great area on the rise for networking.

My daughter is out of state and loves the newark campus it turns out to her that it seams like a small private libreral arts campus. she loves it. now if you want all the football hype and everything they had that there also they watched the games on big screen tvs if they did not go to the game in nb. you are 10-20 minutes from NYC the honors college has been phenomenal she has friends at the nb campus and they all get by just fine. they have plenty of parties and frats and sororities to attend. the food is good at stonsby commons and the freshman dorm was good she loved the honors floor of course where she was and njit is there and has lot of parties also. She has had some really good professors only one that she did not care for all year life is good there for her. We are from Texas by the way so she is a long way from home and adjusted just fine. Good luck

^ It was a bunch of things. One of the only East Coast schools that I could get into and enjoy the area, the tri-state area with New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York in close proximity give me a great choice of things to go out and do. There sports teams are on the rise and I’ve always liked the under dog. Also just to get away from Hawaii, believe it or not Hawaii is a boring place after awhile. The beach and the water sports, as well as the sights are great, but the islands are pretty small and you see everything pretty quick. I just wanted something different and I just found Rutgers and something clicked.
